Photographic proofs of a five-piastre note with the same design as the ten-piastre note on the front, dated June 7, 1940, in handwriting in the margin (with signatures imitated from those of the pre-war period), numbered without serial letters but with six digits. The back, dated April 11, 1940, presents the same theme as the final note but with variations in design. The change in face value is certainly due to the weakening of the banknote due to the war. Probably unique. It is interesting to note that this document proves that the BIC was thinking of working with Thomas de la Rue before the disaster of the war complicated relations with the Banque de France
