Poids très léger.Type inhabituel et particulier. Le revers est directement copié sur le monnayage athénien stéphanophore dit “de nouveau style” . L’exemplaire de l’American Numismatic Society provient du trésor de San’a en 1879, publié par Schlumberger en 1880.

The Himyarites are mentioned by Pliny (VI, 161). "Happy Arabia" was not part of the Roman Empire but was very important strategically for controlling the spice and silk route to and from India and China.
