Autre exemplaire sans étoile après COELVM.L’examen de cette intéressante et rare série de jetons fabriqués à Sedan permet quelques constatations. D’une part, ces jetons sont d’un poids fantaisiste avec utilisation du laiton pour les flans. On note aussi que l’axe est toujours à six heures avec des flans réguliers et de bons centrage lors de la frappe, il s’agit donc d’une production réalisée à l’aide d’un outillage mécanique (presse ou balancier). Le style est assez homogène, c’est celui de Daniel Goffin. Les étoiles à cinq rais sont la marque de cet atelier, on les trouve de façon récurrente mais non systématique dans les légendes, en signe initial, en motif au droit (autour de la fraise) ou au revers (autour de la couronne par exemple).
Another example without a star after COELVM. The examination of this interesting and rare series of tokens made in Sedan allows some observations.
