Ce genre d’objet, en argent et approximativement du poids d’un denier (lourd) a très bien pu être utiliser comme moyen de paiement et circuler avec des deniers mérovingiens....

Many Merovingian coins, badly minted, with very poor or inexplicit epigraphy, cannot be attributed to a particular mint. Too rare coins unfortunately have the same problem.
