Cette rare monnaie manque au Nouvel Atlas ; les exemplaires n° 2427 et 2428 appartiennent à la même série mais ont le cheval à droite, et non à gauche comme sur cet exemplaire. Au revers, seules les soies du sanglier sont visibles. La plupart des exemplaires connus sont en très mauvais état et proviennent du fanum de Cracouville-le-Vieil-Évreux.
Avec ce poids, il serait plus logique qu'il s'agisse d'une obole scyphate et non pas d'un denier.
This rare coin is missing from the New Atlas; examples n° 2427 and 2428 belong to the same series but have the horse on the right, and not on the left as on this example. On the reverse, only the boar's bristles are visible. Most of the known examples are in very poor condition and come from the Cracouville-le-Vieil-Évreux fanum. With this weight, it would be more logical that it was a scyphate obol and not a denarius

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
