bga_725624 - BELLOVAQUES / AMBIANI, Unspecified Bronze à l’androcéphale, exemplaire type du BCEN

C’est la première fois que nous proposons un tel bronze ! Ce type était totalement inédit jusqu’à sa publication par Samuel Gouet en janvier 2020, dans le BCEN volume 57, n° 1. Les trois monnaies que nous proposons sont les trois monnaies illustrées (fig. 1) dans l’article (bga_725624, bga_725635 et bga_764741). Ces trois bronzes, issus des mêmes coins, ont permis la réalisation d’une Reconstitution Exacte du coin de revers (cf. fig. 3, page 3). Selon la publication, ces bronzes inédits sont à rapprocher de la série 46 « profil humain / cheval », plus particulièrement des monnaies « à la tête casquée ». Ces bronzes bien particuliers proviendraient de la vallée de la Somme et auraient un lien de proximité étroit avec les groupes « au personnage courant » et « au personnage agenouillé » (supposés bellovéques).
This is the first time we have offered such a bronze! This type was completely unpublished until its publication by Samuel Gouet in January 2020, in BCEN volume 57, n° 1. The three coins that we are proposing are the three coins illustrated (fig. 1) in the article (bga_725624, bga_725635 and bga_764741). These three bronzes, from the same coins, made it possible to produce an exact reconstruction of the reverse die (see fig. 3, page 3). According to the publication, these unpublished bronzes are to be compared to the series 46 “human / horse profile”, more particularly the “helmeted head” coins. These very particular bronzes come from the Somme valley and have a close link with the “running figure” and “kneeling figure” groups (supposedly Bellovec)
