正面的说明书 Tête à gauche, avec mèches frontales arquées et encadrées d'un trait et autres mèches, épaisses ou minces, recourbées au bout ; œil de face très ovalisé ; oreille ; bouche et nez bouletés de deux points chacun ; très fort menton globulaire.

背面的说明书 Croix bouletée au centre, formée de quatre cantons : point cerclé entouré d'un grènetis aux 1er et 2e canton, une hache pleine verticale, avec manche lisse bouleté au sommet, tournée à gauche au 3e et la même hache horizontale, tranchant en bas au 4e canton.

Ce type aux deux haches a normalement un point cerclé entouré d'un grènetis aux 1er et 2e canton. Cet exemplaire semble n’avoir que des annelets !.

GALLIA - SOUTH WESTERN GAUL - PETROCORII (Area of Perigueux)

(1st century BC)

The Pétrocoriens or Pétrocores whose territory extended between the Dordogne and the Vézère on the current department of the Dordogne, (the former Périgord) had Périgueux for capital. They were part of Celtic Gaul and will then be attached to Aquitaine. They appear late as the Nitiobroges at the time of the final phase of the Gallic Wars. They provided a contingent of 5,000 men to the relief army. Strabo pointed out that the Petrocores were very good metallurgists and worked iron. Sources: Caesar (BG. VII, 75, Strabo IV, 2, 2).
