Longueur 54 mm, largeur 15 mm, épaisseur 12 mm ; poids correspondant à une demi-livre romaine, poids : 121,52 g” Texte donné par la maison Jean Vinchon. Le poids de la livre romaine est de 325 g environ (324,72 g selon C. Carcassonne). Le poids de la demi-livre serait donc de 162,50 g. Si nous prenons le scrupule, 1/288e livre qui pèse 1,125 g, nous sommes en face d’un poids de 108,335 scrupules romains car notre lingot pèse effectivement 121,90 g.
