The Congress of Vienna opens on October 1, Talleyrand represents France there. Unfortunately, the beginning of the reign of Louis XVIII is awkward. The soldiers, in particular, miss Napoleon. The latter disembarked at Golfe-Juan on March 1, 1815 and went up to the North via the Alps.. Louis XVIII hastily leaves the Tuileries on March 20 before the arrival of Napoleon.
