Exemplaire bien centré et complet des deux côtés. Le droit est sur un flan légèrement trop court et les reliefs sont légèrement émoussés. Le revers est bien net et très détaillé, avec un carré creux très particulier. Patine sombre et brillante

Cet exemplaire de ce groupe W est particulièrement beau. Le droit dégénère vite et celui-ci est très proche du W26, sans que la liaison de coin soit certaine. Notre revers est très reconnaissable, avec des motifs géométriques bien nets, mais aucun des exemplaires du Furtwängler ne semble avoir été frappé avec ce coin.

All the so-called "Treasury of Auriol" coins do not in fact come from the deposit discovered in February 1867, in a field at a place called Les Barres, north of Baou-Rouge and which contained 2,130 silver divisional coins. Massalia was founded at the end of the 7th century BC by Greek settlers who came from Phocaea. The city became a metropolis after the capture of Phocaea by the Persians around 540 BC and experienced strong development during the 5th century..
