评论

Lightweight. Lined. Small banker's or money changer's countermarks on the obverse on the face, on the reverse on the club. For this type, Mr. Crawford noted an estimate of eight obverse dies and six reverse dies. Mr. Crawford listed only a single example in the treasures from the Bourgueil repository. This type is infinitely rarer than the various reference works suggest.

In 42 BC, Brutus and Cassius were defeated at Philippi, where they committed suicide. After the naval battle of Actium (31 BC) and the conquest of Egypt the following year, Octavian celebrated a triple triumph in Rome (August 13-15, 29 BC). That year the temple of Julius Caesar was dedicated..
