Michel Moreau, lieutenant civil au Châtelet de Paris (1627), conseiller du roi en ses Conseils d’État et privé, il mourut en exercice dans le courant d’octobre 1637. Une déclaration du roi, du 9 novembre de cette année, ordonna qu’à l’avenir, dans l’intérêt du service, les charges de lieutenant civil et de Prévôt des Marchands ne pourraient être cumulées sous aucun prétexte.
