Très bel exemplaire de ce denier pourtant frappé sur un petit flan. La tête du droit est complète, malgré une frappe décentrée sur la coiffure. Revers centré avec la légende complète. Fine patine de médaillier

La légende VIIPOTAL est bien nette et entièrement lisible sur cet exemplaire. L'attribution des deniers de cette série devrait être remise en cause lors de la parution du Nouvel Atlas, tome 3.

Several types traditionally given to the Pictons see their attribution questioned for a more general geographical area such as Center-West or Great-West of Gaul. Some also propose an attribution to a military workshop, perhaps linked to the Aedui... We must not imagine or dream of the Gallic, or even Celtic, economic space as closed. coins prove us wrong every day.
