Cet exemplaire, en forme de rectangle aux coins arrondis, s’ouvre et permet de placer une monnaie de diamètre de 22,5 mm et une monnaie de diamètre de 19,5 mm.
Les emplacements pour mettre les pièces sont guillochés formant un motif discret de rosace.
On distingue entre les deux emplacements le titrage (800) et un poinçon (couronne) utilisé pour les ouvrages en or et en argent destinés au roi, aux princes du sang et aux grands dignitaires du Royaume.

The coin slots are guilloché, forming a subtle rosette pattern. Between the two slots, the hallmark (800) and a crown hallmark, used for gold and silver items intended for the King, princes of the blood, and high dignitaries of the Kingdom, are clearly visible.

From the Middle Ages until the middle of the 19th century, deniers, écus, and then the first francs and centimes, were carried in purses, alms pouches, or small leather change purses, often attached to the belt.
