Le projet d’une monnaie slovène, le Lipa (tilleul en langue slovène), a été initiée en 1989 par le Dr. Bogdan Oblak-Hamurabi dès les prémices de l’éclatement de la Fédération Yougoslave. En 1991, la nouvelle monnaie slovène adopte le nom de Tolar (thaler en langue slovène) qui entrera en circulation en 1992.
Le Lipa n’a jamais été adoptée et n’a donc pas de caractère officiel. Certaines de ces monnaies auraient été frappées sur des monnaies yougoslaves de 10 para 1990.
The project for a Slovenian coin, the Lipa (linden in Slovenian), was initiated in 1989 by Dr. Bogdan Oblak-Hamurabi at the beginning of the breakup of the Yugoslav Federation. In 1991, the new Slovenian coin adopted the name Tolar (thaler in Slovenian) which entered into circulation in 1992. The Lipa was never adopted and therefore has no official status. Some of these coins were reportedly minted on Yugoslav 10 para 1990 coins.
