Poids léger. Au droit, le mollusque, décrit comme une écrevisse, est incertain. Au revers, le motif en creux est décrit comme une swastika. Il pourrait s’agir aussi de quatre dauphins se rejoignant au centre.

THRACE - APOLLONIA PONTICA
(6th - 5th century BC)
Apollonia Pontica, located on Pont-Euxin was a Milesian colony. The city was famous for its temple of Apollo and its colossal statue, the work of Kalamis. When Lucullus captured the city in 73 BC, he had the statue of the god transported to Rome.
