Ce type monétaire avec un globule et un pentalpha est traditionnellement attribué à la Touraine et au Poitou ; il est connu pour les ateliers de Châteaudun, Chinon, Saint-Martin de Tours et Poitiers (Belfort n° 3633). Des monnaies au même type étaient présentent dans le trésor de Savonnières (Indre-et-Loire) (cf. Lafaurie (Jean), Trésor de deniers mérovingiens trouvé à Savonnières (Indre-et-Loire), RN 1963, p. 65-81 et pl. VIII, particulièrement n° 37-45, p. 81.
