评论
The EXOBNO legend, fully readable on this coin, remained undetermined for a long time, the OBNOS legend being the only one known before the publication of the article \\\"Exobnos, the Gaul without fear\\\" by B. Fischer. The authors of the Nouvel Atlas propose a broad attribution to the “middle Loire”

历史细节
TURONES (Area of Touraine)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The people of the Turons, settled on the Loire, left their name to Tours and Touraine. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. They seem to have grown in importance after the disappearance of the Arverne empire in 121 BC. Like the Pictons, the Turons provided eight thousand men for the relief army which was to release Alesia. Their main oppidum seems to have been placed near the site of Amboise. Caesar (BG. II, 35; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 46).
