Cet exemplaire présente une particularité très inhabituelle : au droit, une sorte de cercle de velours apparait. Il ne s’agit pas d’une usure du coin mais d’une frappe à une telle cadence que le coin chauffe au point d’arracher à chaque passage une fraction microscopique de la surface, créant ce halo.
This example has a very unusual feature: on the obverse, a sort of velvet circle appears. This is not a wear on the die but a result of striking at such a rate that the die heats up to the point of tearing off a microscopic fraction of the surface with each pass, creating this halo.

The Fifth Republic, whose constitution was approved by referendum on September 28, 1958 by more than 79% of French people, only officially began with the installation of General de Gaulle as president on January 8, 1959. The constitution was amended on January 28, 1958. October 1962 by referendum where a majority of 62% of votes approves the election of the President of the Republic by direct universal suffrage.
