p04_0275 - 5 Francs DJIBOUTI 1905 P.-s

Billet sur papier non-filigrané au type du 5 francs bleu 1913 réalisé en 1905 mais imprimé en fond vert avec les textes en noir. Le billet est spécimen par perforation SPECIMEN horizontalement au centre et numérotation en 0.00 / 000. Il ne porte pas de numéro de caissier manuscrit.
La date est le 32 mars 2000, ce qui est tout à fait d'actualité, et les signatures Hely d'Oissel et Stanislas Simon correspondent, comme les titres (Un administrateur / l'Admr-Directeur) au billet de 1913 et non pas au billet vert de 1923 qui porte les titres "Un administrateur - Le Directeur" et les signatures Monplanet et Thion de la Chaume. Ce billet n'est pas répertorié par le Docteur Kolsky dans le KM et confirme que la couleur verte était prête à être utilisée dès 1905. Il existe peut-être un autre exemplaire dans la collection Thomas (N°1509) avec la perforation SPECIMEN inversée et dont nous ne connaissons pas la couleur. En revanche, l'auteur indique la présence d'un numéro de caissier (5) à l'encre rouge au dos, numéro de caissier absent sur notre exemplaire.
Unwatermarked banknote on paper, similar to the 5 francs blue 1913, made in 1905 but printed on a green background with black text. The banknote is a specimen with a SPECIMEN perforation horizontally in the center and numbered 0.00 / 000. It does not bear a handwritten cashier's number. The date is March 32, 2000, which is completely current, and the signatures Hely d'Oissel and Stanislas Simon correspond, as do the titles (Un administrateur / l'Admr-Directeur) to the 1913 banknote and not to the 1923 green banknote which bears the titles \\\"Un administrateur - Le Directeur\\\" and the signatures Monplanet and Thion de la Chaume. This note is not listed by Dr. Kolsky in the KM and confirms that the green color was ready for use as early as 1905. There may be another example in the Thomas collection (No. 1509) with the SPECIMEN perforation reversed and of which we do not know the color. On the other hand, the author indicates the presence of a cashier's number (5) in red ink on the back, a cashier's number absent on our example.
