Le dessin de l’avers est issu d’un concours international remporté par la Grèce. Il représente le dessin primitif d’un homme dont le bras se prolonge avec le sigle €, symbole des échanges commerciaux ancestraux au coeur de l’Union Européenne..

Like the 2 Euro coin “Fiftieth Anniversary of the Treaty of Rome” 2007, each country in the Eurozone, including the most recent entrants Cyprus, Malta and Slovakia, participates in this operation.
