Georges (1846-1911) was sovereign of the small principality of Schaumbourg-Lippe, Germany, from 1893 until his death. Born in Bückeburg, Georges is the eldest son of Prince Adolphe I and his wife Hermine de Waldeck-Pyrmont. He succeeded his father at the head of the principality on his death on May 8, 1893..
