评论
Les types de droit et de revers, bien que pouvant être rapprochés de diverses monnaies (continentales ou insulaires), ne semblent pas correspondre exactement aux monnaies connues et publiées.
The obverse and reverse types, although comparable to various coins (continental or island), do not seem to correspond exactly to the known and published coins

历史细节
ENGLAND - ANGLO-SAXONS
(7th - 8th centuries)
If the minting of these coins is to be located at the beginning of the 8th century, in Great Britain, it is not exceptional to find them in Gaul. They are often confused with Merovingian silver coins (cf. MONNAIES XIX, n° 503, sceattas c. 680-710, classified in Merovingian denier of Laon). During the 8th century, the style of these pieces is more and more degenerated, they are often in ridge or filled. These coins disappeared from circulation in the second half of the 8th century.
