Lucien Le Ruyet est né en 1934 à Quistinic dans le Morbihan. Après une formation à l’École des Beaux-Arts de Rennes, à l'atelier Zadkine à Paris, et au Royal College of Art de Londres, il a participé à différentes expositions en Suisse et salons en France.

Le Martin-chasseur géant (Dacelo novaeguineae), aussi appelé kookaburra, est une espèce d'oiseaux de la famille des alcédinidés présents en Australie.
Oiseau mythique dans la culture aborigène, son chant ressemble à un rire rauque. Son nom australien (de la langue morte wiradjuri) est d'ailleurs Laughing Kookaburra (littéralement « Kookaburra rieur »)..
Lucien Le Ruyet was born in 1934 in Quistinic, Morbihan. After training at the École des Beaux-Arts in Rennes, the Zadkine studio in Paris, and the Royal College of Art in London, he participated in various exhibitions in Switzerland and art fairs in France. The giant kingfisher (Dacelo novaeguineae), also called kookaburra, is a species of bird in the Alcedinidae family found in Australia. A mythical bird in Aboriginal culture, its call resembles a raucous laugh. Its Australian name (from the extinct Wiradjuri language) is indeed Laughing Kookaburra.
