Ce type de droit est très proche de ceux des potins dits "aux chevrons" dont l'attribution oscille entre les Bellovaques et les Aulerques Éburovices.
Cette rare série de potins, mieux connue depuis l’étude qui en a été réalisée dans le CN n° 154, proviendrait du Loir-et-Cher. Si ces potins sont assez peu communs, cette variante avec la tête à droite est exceptionnelle, qui plus est dans ce genre d’état de conservation !
C’est la deuxième fois que nous rencontrons ce type précis !.

The traditional attribution gives this badly known potin to the Bituriges Cubes while an attribution to the Carnutes is possible with regard to the places of discoveries. If the head resembles known coins, sometimes of distant inspiration (bellovaque or éburovices), the reverse remains enigmatic. We are certainly dealing with a local coinage, of "Pagus" as we say in our Celtic jargon, Simone Scheers going so far as to evoke a border coinage on the borders of the Bituriges and Carnutes countries. After the end of the war when Gaul was totally conquered, many substitution coins, of "necessity" appeared in order to replace or supplement the monetary circulation..
