Cette monnaie correspond exactement au n° 39 de l'ouvrage "Kelten im Osten" ; il s'agirait d'une dégénérescences du type "Athene-Alkis" (Athéna du peuple combattant). Les premières monnaies de ce type sont encore identifiables et sont relativement lourdes (2,76 grammes pour le KO. 30)... alors que le KO. 39 ne pèse plus que 2,28 grammes !.

DANUBIAN CELTS - BOHEMIA - BOII
Bohemia is considered the original homeland of the Boii (Boii). The origin of the name may be closer to the Bogii or the Terribles. Bohemian Boii "Boiohaemum" appear late in the sources. They opposed the invasion of the Cimbri and the Teutons in 114 BC. However, they joined the invaders and were defeated with them at Vercelli in 101 BC where their king Boiorix was killed. . They remained on the territory of present-day Bohemia to which they gave their name until the beginning of the 1st century AD when they were replaced by the Marcomanni of Marbod around 9 BC..
