Ce denier est frappé sur un flan très large et irrégulier. Les reliefs sont nets sauf sur une partie des légendes. La tête du roi est remarquablement bien venue à la frappe. Exemplaire recouvert d’une légère patine grise hétérogène

CHAMPAGNE - REIMS - EUDES
(1031-1035)
In 1019, Eudes, Counts of Blois, Chartres and Tours claimed the lands of Etienne, Count of Champagne and Brie, one of his distant relatives who died without an heir. However, he opposed the King of France Robert II, known as "the Pious", and only took possession of Reims after Robert's death in 1031. Eudes died in front of Bar, at the age of fifty-five, during a battle waged against the Lorrains.
