Médaille attribuée en 1958 à Edmond Duchesne en tant que député du Calvados (3e circonscription). Il naquit le 23 décembre 1893 à Évreux (Eure) et décéda le 21 février 1966 à Honfleur (Calvados). Il fut élu député du Calvados sous la Ire législature de la Ve République (30/11/1958-09/10/1962) et fut réélu sous le IIe législature (à partir du 25 novembre 1962) mais décéda en cours de mandat.
Medal awarded in 1958 to Edmond Duchesne as deputy of Calvados (3rd constituency). He was born on December 23, 1893 in Évreux (Eure) and died on February 21, 1966 in Honfleur (Calvados). He was elected deputy of Calvados during the 1st legislature of the 5th Republic (30/11/1958-09/10/1962) and was re-elected during the 2nd legislature (from November 25, 1962) but died during his term of office

The constitution was amended on January 28, 1958. October 1962 by referendum where a majority of 62% of votes approves the election of the President of the Republic by direct universal suffrage.
