Rubans convergents : rubans descendant verticalement le long de la nuque (type 3). La cuirasse est peu visible devant le paludamentum. Au revers les lettres dans le champ S|F pourraient être les initiales de “Sæculi Felicitas” pour le siècle de la Félicité. Nous n’avons pas noté de liaison de coin pertinente.
Converging ribbons: ribbons descending vertically along the nape of the neck (type 3). The cuirass is barely visible in front of the paludamentum. On the reverse, the letters in the S|F field could be the initials of “Sæculi Felicitas” for the century of Felicity. We did not note any relevant corner bonds

Augustus
Constantine was born in 274, son of Constance Chlore and Helena. He was named Caesar on the death of his father on July 25, 306 and was proclaimed august on December 25, 307. He married Fausta, the daughter of Maximien Hercule, who gave him five children, three of whom were augusts. The first twenty years of his reign are devoted to imposing himself as the main august against Maximian Hercules, Galerius, Maxentius, Maximin II and Licinius. He is recognized as the first Christian emperor, although baptized only on his deathbed on May 22, 337.
