He is the cousin of Aymar VI and became his universal legatee. In 1393, he negotiated the abandonment of his states to the king of France but in August 1416, Jean de Poitiers, bishop of Valence and lord of Saint-Vallier, attempted by force to become his heirs. He died on July 4, 1419.

He is the cousin of Aymar VI and became his universal legatee. In 1393, he negotiated the abandonment of his states to the king of France but in August 1416, Jean de Poitiers, bishop of Valence and lord of Saint-Vallier, attempted by force to become his heirs. He died on July 4, 1419.
