Très bonne frappe seulement car le flan est légèrement ovalisé sur l'axe horizontal, ce qui donne un grènetis plus large à 3 et 9 heures qu'à 12 et 6 heures. Le coin est très frais , peu de velours, surfaces brillantes, patine gris très clair avec une subtile et très légère nuance de mauve. À l'œil, on distingue des irrégularités dans les champs, ce que confirme la loupe x10 à savoir : traces de rayure avec une aiguille au-dessus de la tête, le long des cheveux, une rayure transversale dans le champ droit de l'avers sous les lettres MPE de EMPEREUR. Au revers, il existe une rayure en forme de V, bien visible à la loupe, entre le I de DEMI et le C de FRANC. Il existe aussi un petit choc au-dessus du sourcil, mais qui n'est visible qu'à la loupe et en lumière rasante et se voit d'ailleurs de ce fait très bien sur la photo de la Collection Idéale
