Les "arduis" (difficultés) auxquels se trouve confronté Philibert Morisset lors de son décanat sont essentiellement d'ordre financier. La Faculté de médecine devait à Blondel, son prédécesseur, 4160 livres que Morisset se refusait à lui payer. Un procès fut intenté par Blondel qui le fit payer suite à une contrainte par corps. Morisset quitta la Faculté en fort mauvais termes et sa veuve fut accablée d'un autre procès.
Unreferenced hybrid. The \\\"arduis\\\" (difficulties) faced by Philibert Morisset during his deanship were essentially financial. The Faculty of Medicine owed Blondel, his predecessor, 4,160 livres, which Morisset refused to pay. Blondel brought a lawsuit, which forced him to pay following imprisonment. Morisset left the Faculty on very bad terms, and his widow was saddled with another lawsuit.

FACULTÉ DE MÉDECINE DE PARIS
The Faculty of Medicine of Paris is one of the four components of the University of Paris, with the Faculty of Theology, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Arts and Letters. In 1789, it consisted of one hundred and fifty-two doctors, seven of whom were appointed to teach materia medica, physiology, pathology, pharmacy, childbirth, French surgery and Latin surgery. It was headed by a dean, who was also responsible for forming the University tribunal with the deans of Theology and Law, and the four prosecutors of the Faculty of Arts..
