Exemplaire sur un flan bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait juvénile de Géta. Revers de haut relief bien venu à la frappe. Jolie patine grise avec des reflets dorés. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Ce type semble complètement inédit et non recensé pour Géta. Hybride associant un droit de Géta et un revers d’Élagabal ce qui semble impossible. Un exemplaire similaire a été proposé par Teutoburger 79, 2013, n° 928 (même coin de revers).

Caesar
Born on May 26, 189, Geta became Caesar in 198 and received the title of pontifex the following year. He accompanies his father and his brother to Brittany from 208 and is raised to Augustat the following year. When Septimius Severus died in York on February 4, 211, the two brothers brought their father's ashes back to Rome and became co-emperors. But they hate each other. Finally, after a year of joint rule, Caracalla kills his brother in their mother's arms. Geta is dedicated to "damnatio memoriæ" (damnation of memory). His supporters are systematically massacred.
