GREECE - PAUL I
(1947-1964)
Born in Athens on December 14, 1901, Paul I was the third son of King Constantine I (1868-1923). On April 1, 1947, he succeeded his older brother King George II (1890-1947). In 1938 he married Princess Frederika of Hanover (1917-1981) with whom he had three children. He died in Athens on March 6, 1964. His son Constantine II succeeded him.
