Poids léger. Rubans de type 3. Portrait stylisé très particulier faisant penser à l’émission posthume de 138 ou à une imitation. Cependant le style semble bon et ne pas correspondre avec une imitation. Pourrions-nous avoir affaire à un denier frappé dans un atelier provincial, en Asie Mineure par exemple ? Revers de style fin où tous les détails sont visibles. Ce type est très proche du denier décrit par U. Schaaf, “Münzen der Römischen Kaiserzeit mit Schiffsdarstelungen”, op. cit., p. 3, n° 17c, pl. 13 dont le revers est repris sur la couverture. En revanche, ce denier n’est pas repris dans la classification de P. V. Hill pour l’atelier de Rome.
Light weight. Type 3 ribbons. Very particular stylized portrait reminiscent of the posthumous issue of 138 or an imitation. However, the style seems good and does not correspond with an imitation. Could we be dealing with a denarius struck in a provincial mint, in Asia Minor for example? Reverse of fine style where all the details are visible. This type is very close to the denarius described by U. Schaaf, “Münzen der Römischen Kaiserzeit mit Schiffsdarstelungen”, op. cit., p. 3, no. 17c, pl. 13 whose reverse is reproduced on the cover. On the other hand, this denarius is not included in the classification of PV Hill for the mint of Rome
