D’abord conseiller au Parlement, il obtint, le 23 février 1672, la charge de procureur général à la Cour des aides, qu’il remplit jusqu’au 30 décembre 1702 ; il avait été nommé conseiller d’État dans le courant de cette dernière année et il mourut le 15 mai 1715.
