The two victors shared the spoils of the kingdom of Epigone. After the death of Lysimachus at the battle of Couroupedion in 281 BC, Macedonia finally fell to Antigone Gonatas, the son of Demetrius Poliorcetes who had won a brilliant victory over the Galatians (Gauls) in 277 BC.
