Le poids de ces quarts de statères varient entre 1,92 et 2,10 grammes. Contrairement à ceux de la classe I, le revers est anépigraphe. Ce monnayage au pégase a fait l'objet d’une sérieuse étude par J. Sills dans les mélanges offerts à S. Scheers.
Cet exemplaire de la classe II, se rapprocherait des n° 20-26 sans plus de précision en raison de la qualité de frappe de cet exemplaire et de la qualité des photographies illustrant l’article de J. Sills. Le motif sous le cheval pourrait presque être interprété sur cet exemplaire comme étant une petite tête coupée (?).
The weight of these quarter staters varies between 1.92 and 2.10 grams. Unlike those of class I, the reverse is anepigraphic. This pegasus coinage was the subject of a serious study by J. Sills in the mixtures offered to S. Scheers. This example of class II, would be close to nos. 20-26 without further precision due to the quality of the strike of this example and the quality of the photographs illustrating the article by J. Sills. The motif under the horse could almost be interpreted on this example as being a small severed head (?)

The Médiomatriques were a very powerful people of Belgian Gaul. They were strongly Romanized and owed their wealth to the salt trade. They were installed on the Moselle and controlled part of the Vosges and Alsace. They had for neighbors the Treveri, the Remi, the Lingones, the Leuci and the Sequani. They provided a contingent of five thousand men for the relief army intended to free Alesia. Their main oppidum was Divodurum (Metz). Caesar (BG. IV, 10; VII, 75).
