Charles III (20/01/1716-14/12/1788) is the eldest son of Philip V's second marriage, that with Elisabeth Farnese. He was successively Duke of Parma (1731-1735) and King of Naples (1735-1759) then he succeeded his half-brother, Ferdinand VI, as King of Spain in 1759. He married Marie-Amélie de Saxe in 1738 who gave him six children.
