Isabeau of Bavaria was held prisoner in Tours when Jean sans Peur had her freed and installed in Troyes on January 10, 1418, where she entrusted the government to the Duke of Burgundy. The Burgundians seized Paris on May 29, 1418 and massacred the Constable of Armagnac. The Dauphin succeeded in escaping from Paris and took refuge in Bourges. Isabeau entered Paris on July 14, 1418.
