关于品相的说明
Cet exemplaire est bien centré des deux côtés. Droit frappé avec un coin usé, avec des petits coups sur la joue et sur le cou. Le revers est complet et très agréable. Malheureusement, la tranche a été "retravaillée" et semble avoir été polie, surtout au droit, sans doute pour être enchâssée dans un bijou ; ce qui expliquerait les traces de frai au droit, alors que le revers (face vraisemblablement mise en valeur) est bien conservé

Ce statère a été frappé avec les mêmes coins de droit et de revers que le n° 40 du trésor de Puteaux. Les coins utilisés sont D5-R7 selon la numérotation de J.-B. Colbert de Beaulieu et D5-R8 selon celle de M. Mainjonet (RN 1969). La qualité et le centrage du revers explique son utilisation en bijou.

PARISII (Area of Paris)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Parisii were a small but powerful people whose oppidum was Lutèce. Related to the Sénons, the Parisii and the city would have emancipated themselves from their tutelage, relatively late, after the Arverne defeat of 121 BC. The wealth of the Parisii rested on the river control of the Seine and the confluences with the Marne, Bièvre, Ourcq and Oise. César chooses Lutèce, in 53 before J. - C. to convene the assembly of the Gallic peoples. The Parisii were among the first to answer the call of Vercingetorix, the following year, in 52 BC, and they provided a contingent of eight thousand men for the relief army. Watched over by Labienus, friend and legate of Caesar, the territory of the Parisii was the scene of the last battles between Gauls and Romans. Eventually, the Aulercan chief Camulogenes was defeated and killed near Lutetia. Caesar (BG. VI, 3; VII, 4, 34, 57, 75). Kruta: 36, 40 46, 68, 365, 368.
