La tiare est ornementée, peut-être gemmée, en tout cas perlée (triple rang) et ornée d’un astre, torque globulé au cou. L’exemplaire de MONNAIES 41, n° 503 s’est vendu 470€ avec quatre offres sur un maximum à 501€.

PARTHIAN KINGDOM - MITHRADATES II
(123-88 BC)
Mithridates II, one of the greatest Parthian kings, is the son of Artabane I (127-124 AC.). He began by restoring Parthian power in Mesopotamia and fixed the border on the Euphrates. He had to continue the fight against the Scythians and made Sakastan a protectorate. He consolidated his position in Asia Minor and intervened in Armenia to maintain the Parthian protectorate. But the last years of his reign were troubled by numerous usurpations. He was eliminated by Gotarzes I (95-80 AC.).
