Le revers de ce rare jeton se retrouve sur différents jetons français des maîtres de la Chambre des comptes, de la Chambre des monnaies (1583), pour Henri IV (1609-1610) et Louis XIII (1632). Un exemplaire avec le même revers de 1609 est bimétallique mais au nom d’Henri IV au droit (Pastoureau et Weil, IAPN, n° 8, 1986, pl. 34, n°2).
L’année 1609 voit la signature d’une trève entre l’Espagne et les Pays-Bas d’une part et les Provinces-Unies d’autre part (Trève d’Anvers du 9 avril 1609). Les Provinces-unies sont reconnues comme un état souverain.
The reverse of this rare token is found on various French tokens of the masters of the Chamber of Accounts, of the Chamber of Coins (1583), for Henry IV (1609-1610) and Louis XIII (1632).
