Très bel exemplaire pour ce monnayage souvent fruste et mal frappé. Petit éclat de métal au droit à 6 heures. Très joli revers, parfaitement centré. Jolie patine de collection

正面的说明书 Galère de guerre voguant à gauche avec une série de rames et ornée d'une rangée de boucliers ; à la poupe, un mat ; dessous double ligne en zig-zag pour figurer les flots ; le tout dans un grènetis cordonné.

PHOENICIA - SIDON

Abdashtart or Strato I
Sidon was with Tire one of the main ports of the Phoenician coast, essentially a military port. The new coinage of Sidon began in 112-111 BC Pompey maintained the status of a free city, later confirmed by Marc Antoine. Autonomous coinage ceased in 30/29 BC.
