Très rare monnaie que nous proposons pour la première fois ; seulement deux exemplaires sont recensés dans le MONETA, les deux du LA TOUR 4067 et 4113. Ces deux exemplaires sont aussi ceux repris dans le Nouvel Atlas ainsi que par Daphné Nash.
Il est intéressant de noter qu’un rinceau sort de la bouche au droit et aussi de la bouche du cheval au revers !

It is interesting to note that a scroll comes out of the mouth on the obverse and also from the horse's mouth on the reverse!

Many heavy drachmas, with a rider or superimposed horses are difficult to classify. These early coins originate from the confines of Berry and Touraine; often attributed to the Pictons or the Bituriges. If the typology does not make it possible to determine an attribution to such or such people, the distribution of the discoveries is hardly more precise and the conclusions of their metallic analysis are ultimately rather disappointing..
