Si le monétaire ARINOBERTVS est bien attesté à Poitiers (B. 3623), il est intéressant de noter que notre denier est d’un type de revers différent dont nous n’avons pas retrouvé d’équivalent.
Le B. 3623 n’a qu’une crosse et un A inscrits dans un grènetis intérieur alors que notre denier a une crosse, un A et une croisette, sans grènetis.
Les auteurs du MONETA n’ont recensé que trois deniers pour ce monétaire avec AP. Seul le n° 164 de Bais n’a pas le grènetis intérieur, mais il lui manque aussi la croisette.
Ce denier serait donc le premier signalé avec toutes ces caractéristiques.
If the ARINOBERTVS coin is well attested in Poitiers (B. 3623), it is interesting to note that our denier has a different type of reverse for which we have not found an equivalent. B. 3623 has only a crook and an A inscribed in an interior beading whereas our denier has a crook, an A and a cross, without beading. The authors of MONETA have only recorded three deniers for this coin with AP. Only No. 164 from Bais does not have the interior beading, but it also lacks the cross. This denier would therefore be the first reported with all these characteristics
