Ce pont est un pont suspendu mixte ferroviaire-routier et traversant le Tage au niveau de son embouchure. Commencé en 1960, il est inauguré en 1966 et baptisé “Pont Salazar”. Suite à la Révolution des oeillets, il est renommé “Pont du 25 avril”.
This bridge is a mixed rail-road suspension bridge crossing the Tagus River at its mouth. Construction began in 1960 and it was inaugurated in 1966 and named the “Salazar Bridge.” Following the Carnation Revolution, it was renamed the “25th of April Bridge.”
