Cette série à la cavalière armée est bien connue, avec différents styles, tant parmi les statères que les quarts de statère. Mais aucun exemplaire ne semble connu avec un revers à gauche, si ce n’est le DT. 2081 qui est d’un tout autre style.
La lyre se devine bien sous le cheval et la courbure de la cavalière correspond aux monnaies DT. 2090 et 2094.
Avec son revers à gauche cette monnaie semble inédite, tout en s’intégrant dans la série 263C du nouvel Atlas.
Au total, ce ne sont que onze quarts qui sont recensés dans le MONETA, contre vingt statères (toutes variantes confondues).
This series with the armed horsewoman is well known, with different styles, both among the staters and the quarter staters. But no example seems to be known with a reverse on the left, except for DT. 2081 which is of a completely different style. The lyre is clearly visible under the horse and the curvature of the horsewoman corresponds to the coins DT. 2090 and 2094. With its reverse on the left this coin seems new, while fitting into the 263C series of the new Atlas. In total, only eleven quarter staters are listed in the MONETA, compared to twenty staters (all variants combined)

REDONES (Area of Rennes)
(3rd - 1st century BC)
The Redons occupied the eastern part of Armorica, corresponding to the current department of Ille-et-Vilaine. Their neighbors were the Coriosolites, the Namnètes, the Unelles and the Aulerques. They would have had an outlet on the sea, at the level of the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. Their surname is found in the towns of Redon and Rennes (Condate). They were part of the coalition of 57 BC, which shied away from combat, and were subjugated by Crassus. The following year, the Roman emissaries were taken prisoner, which forced Caesar to intervene in Armorica in order to subdue the rebellious tribes, before moving to Brittany the following year to punish the tribes from across the Channel who had brought their support for the Armoricans. In 52 BC, at the request of Vercingetorix, they provided a contingent for the relief army; this, according to Caesar, included twenty thousand men for all the Armoricans. Caesar (BG. II, 34, VII, 75).
