D’après le Moneta, ce type est attribué à Childebert Ier (537-548) et seulement quatre exemplaires ont été étudiés. Selon J. Lafaurie, ce type est le même que celui en bronze.
Dans son étude à paraître sur “Le système trimétallique provençal de Théodebert (534-548)”, P. Schiesser confirme que d’autres rois comme Childebert Ier ont aussi frappé monnaies dans les trois métaux. Il illustre une monnaie comparable à la notre sous sa figure 47 (Cahiers E. Babelon 13.35.1.2).
Ce type en argent correspond donc aux bronzes n° 5454-5656 du Belfort..

In his forthcoming study on “The Provençal trimetallic system of Théodebert (534-548)”, P. Schiesser confirms that other kings like Childebert I also minted coins in the three metals. He illustrates a coin comparable to ours under his figure 47 (Cahiers E. Babelon 13.35.1.2). This silver type therefore corresponds to bronzes no. 5454-5656 from Belfort.
