Isaac Earlysman Sparrow était un quincaillier du quartier de Bishopgate à Londres passionné d’aérostation. Le revers commémore le vol qu’il a effectué en 1823 avec Charles Green, un célèbre aérostier anglais. C’est suite à ce vol qu’il fait frapper ces farthings.
Isaac Earlysman Sparrow was an ironmonger from the Bishopgate district of London who was passionate about ballooning. The reverse commemorates the flight he made in 1823 with Charles Green, a famous English balloonist. It was following this flight that he had these farthings struck.
